    Description

    This is a family piece that dates from the 1940s - 50s I believe it was actually brought back from Africa after WWII by a relative. Kept in china cabinet with a couple of similar African animal figurines. It is small, only a bit over 4 inches long and not quite 2 inches tall. Very beautiful markings on the two-toned wood and lots of detail in the carving; it as developed a nice patina. It looks like the right ear may have been broken during production, perhaps after, but it is an old break. Nice little work of art.
