Pelikan Fountain Sovereign M400 Pen OM Oblique Medium 14 KT nib

Description

This beautiful Pelikan Sovereign 400 Tortoiseshell-and-White piston filler has been lightly used (maybe for a couple of weeks).
The pen uses the differentiated piston filling system that fills a lot more ink with a lot less effort.
The 14 kt nib is an oblique Medium nib. The original 400 design showed up in 1950.
The tortoiseshell is slightly transparent that allows you to see the ink level.
This 400 has a unique Pelikan beak-shaped clip that is heavy-duty (invented in the 4o’s). Includes 24 KT gold plated trim.
I purchased this pen from Farney’s many years ago and it has been in my collection and well cared for in a climate-controlled environment in its original box. The presentation box and papers are like new. The outer cardboard protective covering has some wear.
I found the OM worked well with bookhand found in the Getty-Dubay “Write Now’
book or James Pickering’s original post of bookhand for adult writing.
