    Description

    "Made in India" items are usually metal---esp. brass---but this miniature rhino is made of lacquered leather!  A bill gives scale. NB  The photos show it as being overall very shiny but in reality  the gloss has worn thin in places. The white diamond decal underneath the beast simply says "Made in India."  At first glance it seems---if you're actually holding the piece---that the front legs have been reattached after breaking off.  Thinking about how the figurine must have been made, though, they had to have been attached after the body was shaped anyway; you can only bend a piece of leather so much even if its thin and wet!  Shipping is a MAXIMUM of .75 (west of the Mississippi and in the deep South) while .50 in southern New England via priority mail.
