4-Pin split stag handle
German knife
from my personal collection.
The
companion leather sheath
is also included, and this vintage
Solingen Germany
combo was produced around
the 1950's era.
This German steel Sabre Solingen 131 hunting blade is "mirror like" and this approx. 10" Bowie has real split-stag 4 Pin handles with rich color tones.

The knife's
split-stag handle is
real
antler/bone and is secured with 4 brass pins.
This stag handle has
varied rich color tones
and
natural grooves.
The
spacers are tight
and so is the
shiny aluminum pommel.
This handle
is easy to grip and has a
secure brass finger guard
with a curved design... for better blade control.
The vintage bone handle has
No movement
and for being decades old, it is in
Exceptionally Good condition.
This authentic Solingen Germany knife feels well balanced, solid when held in your hand, and is waiting for the right person to appreciate it's quality and design.
BLADE

The impressive German steel blade is
"mirror-like"

Great Condition
for its age
.
The
tip is pointed
and the blade has
3  3/8" long Blood grooves.
There are
No blade edge nicks
and the reflective hunting/skinning blade has a few short light surface scratches.  For being decades old, the SABRE 131 knife is in
Exceptionally Go
od Condition.

SHEATH
:
The well fitting Solingen Germany leather sheath is included and it ha
s excellent intact stitching
,
a handy belt slot
,
stiff throat,
working snap strap, and
secure metal rivets.
The overall length of this  companion roughback  leather sheath (or case) is
10  1/4" long
. This vintage sheath has only light signs of surface scuffs and handling and is in
Exceptionally Good Vintage Condition.
On the front of the sheath there is a detailed and
"boldly
tooled Head Image of a Stag or Buck"
This impressive
"German Sabre 131 Hunting Bowie
" will make a great addition for the collector or outdoorsman in your fa
mily!
The old knife has
a lot of character and vintage appeal....with that slight "patina of time" appearance not yet achieved with newer knives.
